Catching Small Fish Edits and Frying Them Up for Dinner

25 pages today on the first rewrite and edit of the WIP. Not bad. About what I expected. This section demands I go a little slower because it was written the first time with the foreknowledge I would come back and fix some things about it.

It’s tiring work. I don’t mind this donkey drudgery. That’s part of writing. Hell, it’s all of writing. When you understand that it makes the going a little easier.

But all in all I am happy with the progress I have made so far. I have hit a couple of trouble spots, but nothing that can’t be fixed. I am certain more and more each day that when I settle down and read this entire novel aloud I will catch some of the smaller fish slipping through the edit nets.

Then I will eat them and cast their bones at the moon.
